I received her book yesterday and I was very impressed. It was very well written and I couldn't put it down. I read all of it up to the recipes. Then I got up and read the recipes this morning. I was not aware the apple cidar was raw, so I got some and tried one of the recipes and it was horrible, but I have never liked apple cidar much anways. Is all apple cidar raw? There was not anything in the book about this. I saw it used in many of the recipes. I really was wondering because all day after having it at brunch I have felt a bit sluggish.

Anyways.....curious!

Try Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. It is raw. But -- don't use Bragg's amino acids -- that's old info; substitute Nama Shoyu instead. Be sure to get the raw nama shoyu. I think Alissa sells it in her online store.

Which recipe was horrible with the vinegar? A salad dressing?

Apple Cider Vinegar from Braggs is raw, and you can buy it in most health food stores, it's excellent, but if you don't like it, then don't use it, use lemon or lime juice instead, it works in almost all recipes that call for ACV.

yes I think I will use the lemon or lime next time RP, I have never been a fan of vinegar.

Rawtruth, it was Alissa's salad dressing. I think it was just me not liking vinegar. I just gave the rest to my husband a little while ago and he love it. He wants me to start making it for him regularly (mainly to use as condiment on his SAD food, but at least his confiment will be healthy).

Yes I love Namo Shoyu. I use it frequently.

I have the same problem with Apple Cider Vinegar?

How long did it take to receive Alissa's book? I placed an order from another website almost two weeks ago but have not the book yet. This week (Wednesday) I decided to place another order for the Book & DVD directly from Alissa's website. I'm going to give the second copy to my aunt. She has diabetes and has become interested in raw foods.
