Sorry SO many posts tonight. I'm bored and stressed so I like to come here and obsesively update or read the posts. I guess it's not a BAD thing lol.
I switched do my goal of being 100% organic for the month of june (of course raw). The past few days my forehead, nose, and shoulders are breaking out. For me breaking out means tiny read (barely raised) dots and tha'ts it. It can't be coincidence that once I ellimnate the pesticides that I detox. I did mess up today though. The things I ate that weren't organic seemed like they had a chemical covering even if they were washed. I can tell the difference between food addiction in general and overeating even on organic, versus the chemical addiction to the pesticides. It's amazing the changes you can feel once you become cleaner on the inside! Now I just have to go back to all organic tomorrow. I feel sluggish and...like I have chemicals inside of me :(

wow I SO wish I could eat organic. Its so sad there even has to be such a thing as organic isn't it? I mean things should just naturally be grown, well naturally. *sigh* what is this world coming to. We were watching a movie about human origin in biology today and it showed things on chimps and bonobos and other apes and I was so jealous of them, lol. Congrats on the all organic goal. I would love to do this, maybe once I get a job (if I ever do) I can get some more organic...maybe by visiting some produce companies...I heard you can get big boxes of organic produce for much cheaper that way. *hopes*...hmm I should find that article again. wow sorry I've sort of strayed from your post. yuck I want these chemicals out of me! lol
Eeeek! I'm only like 5% organic now and that's just from fancy condiments and such we get from the health food store once a month though. We live in a really small town, organic produce is literally not even AVAILABLE. And more expensive the rare times we go 30 minutes away to get some. I want to eat all organic more badly than anything else, but it's really just not possible. :( Now though, you've got me scared of when I CAN do that!

If you can a garden is alot of fun to do and you can grow it all organic and save a ton of money, but you will have to put your time and love into it.

We have our garden, but it's not ready yet. The only things ready are the lettuce and spinach. We're growing:
sugar snaps
snow peas
green beans
asparagus
acorn squash
zucchini
pumpkin
personal watermelon
4 different lettuces
spinach
bell pepper
hot peppers
carrots
broccli
cauliflower
tomatoes
cucumber
onion
I think we have other melons and veggies, but my mom planted them so I'm not sure. In my mini fruit garden I have a grape vine and strawberry plants. I need help with the grape vine though, it's exploding lol.
Forgot to add that we signed up and just started at a CSA farm so we'll be getting more organic produce there weekly.

Try visiting www.localharvest.org. This will show you all the great growers and sellers in your area. When we moved to a new area we went on this site and immediately found a wonderful local farmer who brings us a big box of organic produce once a week for less than $20! :p

GOOD FOR YOU!!! 100% organic is the way to go! Yay for the detox.. better out than in
It's funny... I've actually eaten organic all my life because my mom was really into it, but once I left home I bought the conventional stuff for a few months.. no reason why really, I think it was kind of rebelling against her. But anyway, a few months into raw I would buy organic but I didn't particularly care. Now though, I walk into a grocery store and the conventional stuff isn't even an option. It doesn't even look like food anymore. That has just been a natural transition.
Check out www.diamondorganics.com. I'm not sure how much it costs, but it would certainly help out if it is reasonable for you. Especially to go for the heavily sprayed items organic.
