A little over two weeks ago I went, what I guess I would call, high raw - 99% :) . This last weekend I had a little fam. vacation and ate what everyone else was eating. Anyway yesterday I started all raw again (gladly!) but have been EXHAUSTED! SO tired. Is this normal? Part of detox? I wasn't this tired the a few weeks ago when I started. Thanks for your help.

Yep it is normal. I was talking about this with my DH yesterday. We were talking that my mid day crashes are gone and i no longer have blood sugar issues. He was sure dropping my high protein diet for fruits and veggies would affect my health and energy, muscle too...yes it did POSITIVELY... he noticed my energy is at a high and my running is the best ever and I look as good now as I ever have when I was in Competition mode
....so then we got talking about my first few weeks raw and how I was SO EXHAUSTED. We were out with friend my first week end Raw and he recalled I was SO TIRED we had to leave the party. So yes we do experience it. Get some extra rest and in time it WILL PASS !!!

I've been high raw for the past few weeks, after many months of being away from raw :(. Anyway, I went 100% just about 5 days ago and I have been totally exhausted!! I was so tired this afternoon that I don't think I should've been driving! Nice to know that this will pass, its so not like me to be so lifeless.

Tiredness is the usual detox symptom that many raw foodists experience when they start, or relapse and go back to raw again. It can also be a sign of dehydration, so make sure that your food has plenty of water in it. For best results I recommend juicy fruit, which I find most hydrating.

It can also mean that you eat way too many fats. Try limit it to no more than 200 calories from fat - small handful of nuts or seeds or 1 tablespoon of oil or 1/2 to 1 avocado a day.
See, it takes a lot of energy to convert fat to energy, and if you eat tons of it as many rawfooders do(and I did too and had the same problem)-even more so as SAD eaters, it actually might take more energy than it makes. Result - you are awfully weak and tired. Try!
