My 5 year old Braun blender works just fine for now(although my green smoothies could be a little smoother), but before it brakes I want to do some research on blenders, so I don't need to buy the first I see.
Why is Vitamix the best? Just because it is powerful? Cuisinart makes one with 5000 wats, so it is quite powerful too and costs on amazon.com around 80 dollars. I heard that Vitamix can overheat food? Does that mean that even if I am careful to pulse it, I might end up with warm smoothie?
Is Vitamix really so special or is it just a brand name in all raw food bussiness advertisement hype?
Personal blender which I also would like to have for trips and making dressings, one good one is Tribest. It has just 200 power-is it enough? Or do you know good other ones?
