hi guys
just thought Id share a strange occurence in bed the other night!! self inflicted I might add!!
i woke up and was choking violently, it was some thick muccous substance that I had felt coming on me the day before after being really bold and eating some junk food with high dairy!! the sensation I was having after eating this food was that I couldnt swallow it down and clear my throat properly, but when I went to bed I never thought that It would nearly choke me in my sleep!!
i guess it was the reaction to the dairy when I had been off it for some time!
It was a terrifying ordeal and for a minute I was there in bed (alone) and felt I wasn't going to be able to get my breath back!
isnt that just an indication of what dairy really does inside our body it felt like trying to swallow thick glue!! be warned guys. has anybody experienced anything like this?????????????
love from Ireland

Oh yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Dairy creates an enormous amount of mucus in the body. I remember when I gave it up a long while back, the detox was terrible and even if I ever did dare to go back to cooked foods I wouldn't touch dairy with a 10 foot pole. Sorry about your scare, that would freak me out too, I can't stand the feeling of something blocking my airway passages.

Hey, You need a good talking to. Eating dairy Tut Tut.
I have not had a call from our friend in Kerry but if she calls in the next few days then I expect to go down there during the weekend and take her what she needs.
You should plan to come round to me at the weekend and we can either go down togeather or if she does not call me then I can use the weekend to give you that "good talking to".

Wow, that was an intense experience! I am glad you are okay. I had a choking experience as a child but I had my sister and her friend there but they didn't even care to figure out what was wrong with me!!! Sometimes I wonder how I made it this far!!! :D
Anyhow, a friend of mine had called me early in the morning one time... I guess it was right when she woke up because she kept on putting me on hold and in the background I could hear her making all kinds of gross sounds to clear out her throat and it seemed to last forever. Then she'd get back on the phone with me and then a few minutes later need to do the same thing. I asked her if she was okay and she said, "Yeah girl, I'm fine. This is normal for me. Every morning when I wake up I just have all this mucus to clear out."
I immediately replied, "You drink milk don't you?" And yep she did. I forget how much milk but I remember it being A LOT daily. So I told her that I bet her morning mucous clearing ritual would be no more if she quit drinking milk.. I told her to give it a few days. Soon after that she called me back so happy and shocked that it worked! She doesn't drink milk anymore.

hi luna linn
that name sounds kinda celtic its lovely!!
your friend sounds very attractive in the mornings! but now that you mention it I know a lot of people that do that deep throat clearing thing in the morning time, everybody is all clogged up with the stuff, and the thing is in Ireland in my experience milk is marketed as such a wonder food packed with essential stuff! even when I mention to family/friends what I really think about milk they get all annoyed and defensive about it due to the endless brainwashing!! I think it has a lot to do with the fact that our economy would probably collapse if the farmers went out of business!!
I read somewhere that milk contains something called casien that acts like a glue like substance in the body! well that feeling of swallowing hard yet not being able to swallow down the lump in your throat sounds exactly like having a glooop of glue in there!! (JUST an observation.)
I also heard last night of a pal whos partner is suffering from terrible asthma and I have heard that dairy has been known to irritate this condition if not cause it in the first place! when I asked her what her partner ate she told me that she is a veggie who lives on CHEESE and doesnt eat many veggies either, sounds like a cheesie if you ask me. no doubt her diet is at cause!
lots of love to all
