I'm visiting this month and was wondering about where to eat. Non-raw vegan recommendations are also appreciated, thanks!

Check out happycow.net for listings. The listings will say if they are raw or not. I don't know any raw restaurants there but I'm sure some of the vegan restaurants can make stuff for you. I ate there before being raw.
My favs are Teany, Candle, and Better Burgers. Now I'm hungry!

I use this site www.rawfoodinfo.com
there appears to be several restaurants in nyc that serve raw cuisine. Enjoy :)
Peace.

I am dying to eat at pure wine and food. Please tell me how good it is and is Sarma the sweetest. I mail order from her and she is so sweet.

Pure Food and Wine is pure heaven. I went about 2 weeks ago and it was just amazing. They also have a tiny take out with about 3 tables where you can get their salads, smoothies and a few meals like lasagna.
Quintescence is very small but their food is also unbelievable. I had gnocchi in a creamy alfredo type sauce over zucchini pasta. It was so good. And they have an appetizer of "tofu" made from cashew cream which is a must. The flavors just burst in your mouth. We sat there just going on an on about delicious everything was.
There's also Caravan of Dreams which has quite a few raw options, otherwise it's all veggie (vegan I think).
There's a few more which you will find on HappyCow but I would definitely recommend Pure Food and Quintescence.
