Hi.
This is my first attempt at using my new dehydrator, so please forgive my ignorance...
Can I just cut up some sweet potatoes (like chips) and leave them in on 118 degrees overnight?
:)

Yes, they are best sliced very very thin ! Also I soak mine for a few hrs but this is not nessecary.
I dry at 105 ...118 will give you results faster though.

Hi Coco -
We soaked in water and lemon juice and it adds a nice flavor.

I coat mine in olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and place then slices in the dehydrator.
Honestly chips are not my favorite raw treat though, but this is the only way I have found that I can half way enkoy them.
I love making onion rings in the dehydrator. All I do with them as cut the into slim rings dip them in olive oil, and then batter them in raw wheat germ. I heat them at 105 for a few days because I love them really dried out, yum and I like to eat them fresh out of the dehydrator so they are nice and warm.

Yum! That sounds delicious! I will have to try it! Thank you. :)
So my potato chips have been in the dehydrator over night, and I quite like the taste so far. I'm going to leave them in for a few more hours, so that they become brittle.
Thanks for the suggestions and advice everyone! :)
