Hi,

I would be SO appreciative if one of you knowledgeable folks can look at my last page of my food journal and make suggestions as to what to add to my diet as I am newly pregnant. I was thinking an oz. of almond butter--from raw and sprouted almonds that is. I believe i need 300 calories.

My food aversions and sensitivities are to ALL forms of sugar salt sea veggies grain dairy and odd foods like spinach onions tomatoes. My doc shared that i was also slightly anemic but I have been for over 12 yrs.:) I DO eat greens but adding more may make me puke--having a hard time with raw veggies that are not mushy like zucchini and watery.

Thank you so Much I am blissfully blissful--and tired and constipated :p .

Hugs,
JMD

Congratulations! How exciting.

All I can say is that my body told me what it wanted for extra calories. I didn't have to think hard about it. I had a love/hate relationship with certain foods through my pregnancy. I mainly craved fats (I was not raw while pregnant). I think it was because I was thin before becoming pregnant and with twins, I had to put on extra weight ASAP.

Well, everyone is different, of course.
Congratulations, again.

Thanks Debbie....I am guessing it will be either fruit or protein...right now veggies are a little "off" to me right now. I am craving fats/protein. I did get a good vegan pre-natal so I feel good about that too.

....Hope you are feeling GREAT!!

As far as eating greens, would you like them better if you juiced them along with some fruit so the juice would be sweet and you could still get in your greens? Just an idea...

Thanks Brianna

I actually do a daily green juice with a granny smith apple and I love that snack. I may need to go lighter on the cuke and up the greens:).

How about just adding an avocado to your daily intake? They've got about 300 calories and tons of good fats that will probably help a great deal! You can put Avo's in just about everything...sometimes I'll just eat half of one with a spoon!

Thanks I actually eat 1-1/2 to 2 avocados per pay. I am scared to eat too much fat...though that is all i crave.
