I need some suggestions on getting the word out on my classes. I made
up some flyers and have been posting them around town with no success.
My business cards are in process...
Here's the thing (and I am OPEN to all suggestions and critical comments)
The Chiropractors and Health Food Stores in my area are not being openly
receptive to me and my posting the flyer. I tell them about myself and
the classes and that they will be included on my resource page , but
the comments are really bringing me down.
"We don't want to support that way of eating" "It makes us look like we
agree with what you are doing"
"
"I knew a person once that ate raw, and she was so unhealthy looking"
(on further conversation, I found out this "person" was eating frozen
vegetables, not fresh"..
"We only allow our "clients" to post there flyers here".
"I'll take a look at it" (as they put the flyer behind the register and out of
sight".
If I am at a store, I always try to buy something to show that I am a
customer and make a positive comment on the item I am buying.....
I guess my next step is to place an ad in the local paper. What ads have
worked for you? How are you getting people to your classes?
