About 3 months ago, I had a real bad kidney infection. I had to go to the
ER where I got IV antibiotics, then by mouth antibiotics for 3 weeks to finally
get rid of it.
Despite RAW, and thinking I have been detoxing, I just don't feel well.
So, I think it must be Candida based on my history.
I'm not one to take alot of supplements or do those crazy parasite cleanes
however, I am so tired despite getting plenty of sleep and I need to do
something about this!!
I called the local health food store and colonic guy here in town and he
wants to put me on all the supplements, colonics, etc, etc. I'm willing
but would like another opinion!!
Thanks for all information!!

I had the same experience with fatigue and being tired. I began to take 2 tbl spoons of coconut oil everyday, and then I began takeing anstrom size minerals. Now I can't remember the last time I felt tired. Oh, dehydration will have the same effect. drink plenty of water. I also logged How I was feeling throughout the day and found that I had to many sweet fruits in my diet and began to add more vegetable, juice and superfoods. Hope something that help me. Will help you

Probiotics is really the main supplement you should take. Other than that, try to incorporate coconut oil, garlic & other healing foods and cut back on fruit.

Thank you for the replies!!
Is there a particular BRAND of probiotics to take. Natures' First Law
Has the Green Powder that contains the probiotics and I am leaning
towards that one, but am not familiar with any others.
Has anybody tried NFL's Green Powder?
Thanks
p.s. During my certification class, we drank coconut water// It REALLY
gave me a boost immediately.

I have been using the Nature's First Law green powder in my smoothies and I highly recommend it. It is $60 though, but it should last at least a month.

You still might want to use a seperate probiotic formula. Garden Of Life is pretty good.
If you want to save money on Nature's First Law Green powder you can purchase Vitamineral Green which is the same formula as Nature's First Law. I believe Performance Nutritionals has the best prices. Keep in mind that Nature's First Law is 10oz. so if you get the 16oz. size, you'll really save money.

It's not crazy to do a parasite/candida cleanse. Black Walnut Hulls (from the black walnut tree), Wormwood (from the Artemisia shrub) , Common Cloves (from the clove tree), These three herbs must be used together. Black walnut hull and wormwood kill adults and developmental stages of at least 100 parasites. Cloves kill the eggs. Only if you use them together will you rid yourself of parasites. If you kill only the adults, the tiny stages and eggs will soon grow into new adults. If you kill only the eggs, the million stages already loose in your body will soon grow into adults and make more eggs. They must be used together as a single treatment.

Hi Becky!
You may want to learn Dr. Doug Graham's approach to curing candida/sugar metabolic disorders. To me, it makes sooooo much more sense than any of the other approaches (and explains why the other approaches don't fully work!).
I know a consult with him is expensive, but so are colonics and supplements. It is definitely something to consider if you want to get rid of candida.

It could be candida, and it could not be. I think self-diagnosing can be a tricky thing. Regardless, if you were hooked up to an IV, taking antibiotics, and are recovering from a kidney infection, your body is probably in need of some rebalancing!! I would take a guess that is just where your feeling less than excellent is coming from.
If it were me I would find a naturopath or homeopathic doctor to consult with. If you had a really severe infection there was a root cause to it, and you want to get to the root of it even if the antibiotics made it go away.
General things I would do if it were me: Take a really good COMPLETE probiotic (garden of life is a good brand), and work up to at least 3 times a day, probably more. Greens juice. Vitamineral green (or nature's first food). The only fruit I would use is moderate citrus (lemons, limes, grapefruit), and maybe a little bit of seeded watermelon. I would eat frugally and allow my body to heal and rest.
Happy healing Becky :)

The two main raw approaches to dealing with candida are either a high fruit/no fat diet (Dr Graham's approach) for awhile or a high greens/high fat/no sweet fruit diet (Dr. Cousins' approach) for awhile. People have experienced healing on both approaches. I think the high fruit/no fat diet sounds more appealing personally. The thing that you don't want to do with candida is eat both high fruit and high fat.
Best of luck to you!

I agree... finding the ROOT cause of my immune system malfunction
is probably a good idea.
I need to find a naturapath and fight this battle the right way without
wasting alot of money on supplements that may or may not work.

Hi again,
I went to numerous naturapathic doctors before finding raw food and they all diagnosed me with something different, cost me lots of money and had me taking tons of supplements. I believe that if you give your body the conditions it needs to heal, the proper diet, rest, sunshine, relaxation, etc. that it wil heal itself. I healed from fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety and more with no supplements. To save some money you might want to just try eating a simple raw diet and resting a lot for a couple of months.
Take care,
Audrey
