I'm confused

The recipe calls for 12 sundried tomatos. I purchase my sundried tomatos at Whole Foods and they are kinda shredded. Does anyone know how many cups 12 sundried tomatos is?

and

I am making this for just me, my hubby, and my 17 month old daughter, how much does this recipe make? should I half it?

Thanks for your help

LOL...yeah, the one's I get from my local co-op are "julianned" so what I did was grabbed 12 pinches of the tomatoes kinda guesstimating the size of the whole sundried tomatoes (maybe about an inch in diameter) and it worked out fine.

Sundried tomatoes are roughly about the size of a medjool date (give or take) and I think that 12 of those might be about a cup and a half or so. But I'd just add a little at a time to the blend of fresh tomatoes in the processor until it was desired color and consistency and not even worry about exact measurements because that's the main purpose of the sundried tomatoes anyway...to add depth of color and texture/thickness to the sauce.
