I have a bag of unshelled Brazil Nuts and I am wondering if anyone has ideas of what to do with this nut ? It is not my Fav for just eating on its own.

I put some in Omega and added it to my Banana/Apricot Ice cream, that is good...

Anyother recipes anyone knows of that use them ?

You could make brazil nut milk, or make a nut pate, make a cake or use as cake crust with dates, or make veggie burgers just sub out other nut.

I like to make a milk, then add cacao for a chocolate shake. All that selenium is so good for the thyroid!

Thanks, I was not sure how it would taste as milk, and in substitues for other nuts. I will try it that way ! I have never been a fan of Brazil but since they are really good for protein content and selenium :D I will try to use more of these.

They're really good if you get the white Smyra or Turkish dried figs and stuff the Brazil nut inside. It's great candy!

Oh YUM...sounds like something that will put my blood sugar thru the roof....but worth the try..maybe the fat will slow down the sugar rush and I bet I could not eat just ONE :p

I LOVE brazil nut milk. I add a touch of salt, vanilla (probably alot...I like the stuff!). You could add cinnamon too if you wanted and agave to make it sweeter. I haven't tried it with the last two though.

I just made a smoothie (copying something I had at Cafe Gratitude in Berkeley that was soooo yummy) made from:
Brazil nuts (and water to make milk)
3 dates
3 figs
1/4 cup raw chocolate
and a few sprinkles of raw cocoa nibs

Very rich so you have to be in the mood. Whenever I eat this, I don't want anything for hours and hours....
