Is unsoaked flax seed considered a "live" food and a raw food? Does flax seed have to be soaked first to become "live", because how do you grind it after soaking with all that mucilage stuff on it? I want to get all of the benefits of soaking, but maybe flax seed is unique, just grind it into meal without soaking first.
Bottom line is - as 100% RAW, is it alright to eat unsoaked flax seed.
Confused and learning slowly but surely.

Thanks.

Scott

You can buy Sprouted Raw Flax Seeds (http://www.goraw.com/products/product.php?productid=9&cat=6&page=1), which have been soaked, sprouted, then dried for you. It is very difficult to do this on your own, but possible with a lot of trouble.
