i had flax seed crackers today and i looked them up on fit day. flax seeds and 1 cup of flax seeds are
Total: 722
Fat: 49 444 67%
Sat: 5 42 6%
Poly: 33 293 44%
Mono: 10 90 13%
Carbs: 54 118 18%
Fiber: 25 0 0%
Protein: 26 104 16%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%
i know they have a lot of protein but on the circle graph they have wayy moree fat than anything else.. the proteins just a little section compared to the fat. Isnt 722 calories high for eating one thing?

Flaxseed is one of the best fats you can put in your body. I came across quite a bit of information about flax. Basically, it has the components that prevent heart disease, osteoporosis, and hormone-related cancers.

(I also found a study that was done in the Netherlands in Dec of 2005, which supports this.)
Also, I read that we don't eat enough of essential fatty acids (like that in flaxseed), then besides a host of health problems, it could also cause food cravings, especially for fatty foods.

If I may recommend not going on calories and fat so much. It will make your raw lifestyle a long and hard journey. Fitday and other things as such was designed for people with standard diets. Flax seeds are a wonderfully nutritional food. Ask yourself this. How many of your friends who live a standard diet eat flax seeds reguraly? You are not eating standard foods so why should you count calories and fats and standard dieters do?
May I suggest you live by one law: RAW!

(not because of you!) lol but I was eating as many calories as i wanted since i started raw and i may be eating to much since its been 2 months and i have been eating a lot.. while others say there appetite decreased but then i got comments from my last post saying that i should at least check the calories i eat to make sure im not going overboard...
but thanks for the information on flax seeds it was helpful.

I was thinking the same thing 1 CUP is an awful lot....I think you would use a couple tablespoons at a time???? or your stomach, intestines, and bowels will remind you one way or another that it's too much! and just a suggestion, as with psyllium powder/husks....drink enough water to "flush them through"....I get "backed up" when I've had too many "flax crackers" etc,,,and the rumbling begins!!! :D
