Hi everyone.
I'm Cris (27) from Delaware.
I learned about the RAW lifestyle about 9 years ago after watching Juliano on a tv show. I was intrigued but thought it was a little extreme at the time. At that point I was already vegetarian so I figured I was doing just fine. I've kept coming back to RAW though... it's just so... ME. In January I finally decided that THIS would be the year to do it. I started VERY slowly just incorporating more raw foods here and there and have gotten to the point now where At this point I'm 100% RAW during the week but let myself eat whatever when we eat out on the weekends (once or twice a weekend usually). I aspire to be 100% RAW 100% of the time since I see how my body reacts to the cooked food... I'll get there eventually. ;-)

Since going mostly RAW in January I've lost 23 lbs. and am feeling better than I ever have. I've even turned one of my best friends in the RAW direction... she has no aspirations of going 100% but she's loving the affects of being mostly RAW.

Okay, now I'm rambling. I'm heading over to the recipe forum because I'm in DIRE need of some savory recipes that don't take any odd ingredients or a dehydrator... :-)

Howdy Cris

Welcome!

I have been 100% raw about 23 days and loving it. Its not without detox, but I have grown to love the detox because I know I am getting rid of the stuff in my body that is harmful. Usually I am full of energy on raw, unless its a detox day like today. So I will probally be great tommorow.

Its a wonderful lifestlye and aspire to live this way forever. In the meantime I am taking one meal at a time. My goal is to continue through the end of June 100% raw and incorporate more green juices which I have been doing the last couple days and I think this has inspired the latest detox. Yeah!

Raw love,
Gator

Welcome Cris! Sounds like you're doing pretty well. I've been eating raw for nearly three weeks. I'm feeling fantastic (except for the odd rough detox days). I feel like I've found the 'holy grail' when it comes to how we humans should be eating.

Good luck!
