Hi everyone.
I'm Cris (27) from Delaware.
I learned about the RAW lifestyle about 9 years ago after watching Juliano on a tv show. I was intrigued but thought it was a little extreme at the time. At that point I was already vegetarian so I figured I was doing just fine. I've kept coming back to RAW though... it's just so... ME. In January I finally decided that THIS would be the year to do it. I started VERY slowly just incorporating more raw foods here and there and have gotten to the point now where At this point I'm 100% RAW during the week but let myself eat whatever when we eat out on the weekends (once or twice a weekend usually). I aspire to be 100% RAW 100% of the time since I see how my body reacts to the cooked food... I'll get there eventually. ;-)
Since going mostly RAW in January I've lost 23 lbs. and am feeling better than I ever have. I've even turned one of my best friends in the RAW direction... she has no aspirations of going 100% but she's loving the affects of being mostly RAW.
Okay, now I'm rambling. I'm heading over to the recipe forum because I'm in DIRE need of some savory recipes that don't take any odd ingredients or a dehydrator... :-)
