Hi,

I am in the midst of purchasing a Excalibar 4 OR 5 tray dehydrator. My ??? is do I need a Teflex sheet for each tray?? I will be using the product to make flax crax. in bulk--or for the week--so I want to use all of the shelves. Some places on-line give a sheet or two with a purchase so I am not sure if i should buy more.

I have not used a dehydrator in the past so ANY info would be great.

I am also torn to get either the 4 or 5. It is a big $$ difference between the two.

Thanks in advance...

JMD

If you want to keep it full of crackers, you will need a Teflex sheet for every tray. I have the 9 tray Excalibur and only like 2 or 3 Teflex sheets, but it works for me because I never have it full of stuff. I dehydrate on a more sporadic basis.

I have both a 5 tray and a 9 tray Excaliber and I often use at least 4 teflex sheets.

I have the 9 tray and I have sheets for each. At first I only had what came with it which was I think 4.

Right away I wished that I had more. I often use all 9 trays. I make a lot of fruit leathers and crackers and I can easily fill up most if not all of the trays just by doing those things.
