Has anyone researched this?? Anyone had any luck with incorporating/avoiding certain foods based on their blood type into a raw vegan diet? A book I have refered to eating for your blood type and I am very interested just trying to see if anyone has tried it. I have been doing research on the net & apparenlty I have been eating all the wrong foods.
I am AB and multiple sources say I have a weak digestive system but strong immune naturally (which is right on) and then it gives foods that I should stay away from and others that I should increase to help correct this.
I think I might try it out after my juice fast next week.

I followed it for awhile. I found some foods on my avoid list were foods I naturally avoided anyway and ones on the OK list that bother me ! Then there are some foods on the avoid list that are staples in my diet and I feel fine on, and all my blood test are perfect so I do not feel it is something to follow strictly.
My sister followed it strictly for a few months and lost 10 pounds. She said she felt it due to restrictions on butter, sugar etc and not the blood type diet, so she stopped following it and still restricted the breads, deserts and lost her last 10 pounds off the blood type diet.
Try it see how you like it !!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to follow it as well, that was until I found out of my bloodtype, I'm 0-neg which would mean that I'm a hunter and should eat primarely meat.. Now that I've started this raw adventure I just don't much fancy to go back to meat :p

To me it's interesting to note that among cows there are something like 8,000 blood types, but they are all meant to eat grass!

wow Brianna I didn't know that!!
I think I will try it just to see how it feels although I am skeptical I will be able to keep it up for long because I am AB+ so vegan is okay but no avos, no tropical fruit, no sesame seeds!! but I have noticed small digestive issues when I consume these but I need my sesame seeds!!
I don't know worth a try I guess...

Glad to hear that....I was at my HFS one day and had the owner perform iridology and a few other alternative health assessments and she said because of my "O" blood that I needed to be a meat eater....for proper neorological function....maybe I could add 1-2 servings per day to my RAW  I could not believe what I was hearing.....this was an all natural oganic market with alternative therapies. I NEVER expected to hear that! I struggled with that information and thought through that whole blood type information and decided- it was absolutely not worth trying. Sooooo.....I decided to read the China Study- thats all I needed for reinforcement!
Good luck if you try it and keep us updated. :D
I recommend you read Dr Joel Fuhrman's excellent 'Eat To Live' - wherein, he offers rather a scathing critique of D' Adamo's book 'Eat Right For Your Type'.

Mindelicious, I just had to thank you for typing this post. I had been questioning this lately too due to the fact that my blood type is O pos. Based on that book I should be eating meat, but my digestive system feels horrible when I incorporate meat, and maybe that's because I've cleansed my body of it, I don't know.
Anyway, I'm so thankful for all of the responses as I've been debating this in my mind for the past week. Now I have confirmation through the China Study and Dr. Joel Fuhrmann's book.
Thank you m'aam!

I'm A- and I read those books, and tried it for a while. I wasn't impressed. I guess it was good that mine said to stick with mostly vegetarian but it also recommended fish and ..some other meat, I don't really remember. Which, since I am vegetarian, I didn't eat.

First of all, I want to tell you that WOW! You are a BEAUTY!
Second of all.. your posting cracked me up! Maybe because I'm tired and punchy, but when I saw the little shocked guy  I just laughed out loud. Thanks.. I needed that. It's been a long hard day.
Thirdly, I think there may be "something" to the Blood Type Diet, at least for me. I know that when I eat COOKED corn or wheat (unsprouted) all my joints ache for days... but I can eat raw or sprouted with no affect. YI*PEE!

I am O+ blood type and the blood type diet says I should not be vegan or else I will be sick.
Well...I've been vegan now for 6 months and I feel GREAT! Better than before! Not sick at all.
From my personal experience, the blood type diet is not beneficial.
