Besides the obvious fruits and veggies, what foods do you order online or buy in bulk? Nuts, Flax seed oil, etc.
I've been eating raw very elementary style, but what to get some supplements, flax seed oil, etc. and was wondering what items I should order online.
Thanks for your help.

Oats, walnuts, flax crackers, nori crackers, carob powder, coconut oil, flax oil, Bariani Olive Oil, probiotics, digestive enzymes, protein/greens powder, raw bars (Think Organic/Organic Greens). Pretty much everything but produce.

the only things I order on line are olives, Maca (may be spelling wrong), and cacoa. I get pretty much all my produce and kava from the farmers market or grocery store and I buy my bulk beans, grains,Namo shoyu, seaweed, and seeds from Life Grocery.
My big must have items are: Chick peas Nori sheets, almonds, sunflower seeds, wheatgrass, avocados, mangos, watermelon, garlic, hot peppers, bananas, spinach, and romaine lettuce.
I add other things in but I find the above list the things I MUST have on hand. They help me to stay raw!
As far as supplements I have been doing Nature's First Food which can be bought at www.rawfood.com. Its not cheap, but if you look at it like insurance, well all of a sudden you think man this stuff is cheap.
When it is that time of the month I highly recommend have some cacoa and kava (or honey if you are beagan) or figs/dates. They can be made into great shakes or icecream or popsickles. Yum! I don't think I would have made it through my period without it.

Gatorgrrl, if you want to save money you can purchase Vitamineral Green which is the same formula as Nature's First Law. You can usually buy it for $30-50 less.
My must-haves besides produce like basil, avocados and fruits etc. are my obsession with flax crackers, raw almonds, flax oil, and digestive enzymes, b12, and some of my must-have items are my Champion juicer, knives, blender, and mini-blender and soon-to-be dehydrator ordered mostly on-line.

GG - where have you found it for the best price?

I believe Performance Nutritionals has the best prices. Keep in mind that Nature's First Law is 10oz. so if you get the 16oz. size, you'll really save money. Other places give price breaks when you buy in multiple.

I don't order food and supplements online that often, but I take E3Live, enzymes, probiotics, and B12. I buy them at Hippocrates Health Institute, where I work. I do order raw carob powder online because I can't find it raw at the health food store. I also order my olive oil online.

Brianna, hope Hippocrates gives you a good discount. ;) I know their stuff can be costly.

I have ordered raw carob from Nature's First Law, and it's divine!! When the whole box of stuff arrived the scent of carob was so strong and is always wafting out of my cabinets. It is so fresh and flavorful.
Haven't yet tried another brand, because this is the first time i've ordered it, but just thought i'd share my testimonial.

I know this won't be answering your question exactly, but my staples are oranges, tomatoes, carrots, and greens.

I get carob powder from Glaser Farms. Don't know if there's a big difference in taste between the two since I haven't tried Nature's First Law. As long as it makes yummy ice cream, I'm happy.

I don't order anything on line, I either pick in our gardens, or buy from the local Costco or farmer's market, depending on the season, but these are some things, that I think are staples.
dates
agave nectar
almonds
walnuts
cocoa/carob/cacao powder (take your pick)
Celtic sea salt
nama shoyu
fresh ginger
pecans
pine nuts
cashews
sesame seeds
sunflower seeds
barley/spelt berries/wheat berries (take your pick)
various fruits and veggies
herbs, spices and flowers
and of course wild edibles, all we can gather.

Rawpriestess - I'm just starting out, here. When I looked at your list (guess it's about the same as mine, now!), my first reaction was: wow - what a luxury! And it's true - foods from the earth are SO luxurious - and you are so right - we do GET to eat them!

When I read a book I get some many new Ideas. However like you I keep it simple. I don't believe that eating should be complicated. I like easy and simple with the occasional experiment. I read about minerals and have ordered from "mother earth" and found that I did have a Mineral deficiency. I have tried Herbs from "Dr. ChristopherÂ’s"; this has aided me in overcoming many deficiencies in body function like hypothyroidism and parasites. My problems are what lead me. I know I have a problem I look for a viable solution. I get board with eating I try a new recipe. I feel sluggish I start reading to find something to try. There is no right and wrong. I f you are raw, you are 100% healthier that on cooked food. How can you go wrong?
