hey everyone, i just have a question...do any of you know if you have to soak flax and sesame seeds b4 eating them? and if you do, do you pour the soaking water away or can you drink it? some people say you're supposed to drink the water cause it has all the nutrients in it...hmmmmm...any thoughts?

To soak or not to soak...that is the question! lol! really, you can drink the water you have had flax seeds in, but be advised, flax soaking water acts as a laxative. Personally, I will often take flax, about a tablespoon, soak it in my blender with a cup or two of water. Leave it for an hour or so while I walk, then toss in some frozen banana, then presto, instant milkshake. (with the added benefit of properly moving bowels.)

I know that some make sesame seed milk, which is high in calcium. I'd search the boards, you will probably find an answer.
