This is Day 2 without my green tea habit. I've been sleepy all day, and I'm craving green tea so bad I can smell it. I haven't had any detox headaches or anything, but I'm not sure I want to be this sleepy all the time.
I'm not sure whether I should stick to a tea ban, or whether I should just give in and have this as my one vice. What exactly are the benefits of giving up green tea again? And how can I wake myself up without it? Frankly, I'm a little surprised and discouraged that I can be on Day 17 of a 30-day challenge and still be so sleepy without my green tea.

what? now green tea is detrimental! NOOOOOO! dont say that! I am plugging up my ears and singing!
I thought it was full of antioxidants. People in China drink it all the time and are healthy! Does that mean my Green Yerba mate is bad too?
Okay, I am going to have it as my vice. that is all there is to it.
Many warm blessing sent your way Pailani! I am so proud you are at Day 17! My first day is tomorrow!!!
How about trying raw maca? I love it! An Inca Superfood! It touts many benefits including energy and an increased libido! (Or perhaps that was my last Caffe Mocha I had to fit in this morning with an extra shot? hmmm....)

That's kind of how I feel about it. I have a serious health issue, (which is why I am so onto this raw diet now) but various herbal teas are supposed to be a big benefit for me. So I guess until I am convinced otherwise, I will not be able to achieve the 100% raw status. But that is making me a lot more conscious of doing it in all the other areas of my diet.

I didn't have any green tea yesterday, so that's two days with no tea at all. If I continue to feel sleepy this afternoon, I may re-think that and have the tea. But I had gotten into the habit of drinking it like water, and that can't be good, either.

Day 4 with no green tea, no caffeine at all, and I haven't felt sleepy since that one day. So it may be that I just needed a day to acclimate my body? It's kind of interesting to see what my body feels like without it - it's been such a part of my life for as long as I can remember (first years of black coffee, then a couple years of black tea, then green tea for the past year, all consumed like water) that I'm not sure I know who I'd be without it.
