Has anyone had any experience with this Frederic Patenaude program or these DVD's? it seems like a good deal....maybe too good to be true?

Just seeking opinions -Have a GREAT day!

WOW, sounds good to me, never seen this or heard of it, but it's only $197 for all of that info. so I'd say, if you are drawn to it, then go for it.

We may hear from others here, who have done this, and love it!!

Can't wait ot hear about it.

The Perfect Health Program was originally offered for $297.00 or right around $300.00. Fred is a marketer/entrepeneur as you can obviously see from his flashy promotions.

As for the content, the discs contains lots of discussion from Dr. Graham (www.foodnsport.com (http://www.foodnsport.com)). I've enjoyed listening to the recordings. Most of the content is stuff you already know if you've ever heard Graham speak or if you visit his website. For example:
- Eat a low-fat diet consisting only of raw, fresh, ripe, whole, organic fruits and vegetables with little use of nuts and seeds.
- Your diet should be at least 80% carbs, less than 10% protein and less than 10% fat (his 80/10/10 or 811rv diet)
- Exercise
- yadda yadda yadda

If you're the kind of person that enjoys motivational recordings, I'd say this one is as good as any other product I've heard. Doug Graham has a remarkable talent for communicating his healthy lifestyle approach.

As with any other health program, the value is measured by how much you put into following the plan. If you buy the discs, listen to them once or twice and then don't act on what you've heard, you'll waste your money. On the other hand, if you do practice what is on those discs you'll be glad you bought them. If you aren't currently following a low-fat raw vegan diet, then these discs will give you some added incentive to move in that direction.

One other thing to consider -- I would buy the package from Doug Graham instead of Fred Patenaude as I think Doug Graham is the one that deserves the sale -- after all, it is Doug's work that is on the discs ;)

You might be able to find this package offered "used" for a huge discount
by checking the various raw food forums, ebay, etc...

Good luck. Just offering my opinion per your request,
Fiddler

I have the Perfect Health cd's. I don't think they are worth the money though. You could learn everything you need to know about them through Dr. Graham's site. I was upset by the lack of quality too for the amount of money. They are all tele conferences.

Btw, I DO like Dr. Graham but I just din't think this set is worth it. If I had it to do over I would get the DVD's instead.

Are there any of Alissa's teachers in your area? You could take a class where you learn to prepare food hands on. I think that would be the way to go rather than another video.

Just an idea.

I would LOVE to take a class- But cannot find one locally. I have seen a few offered 1-3 hours away....but, with a travelling husband, young kids and a business to run- that would be difficult- I keep checking though :) I just thought some video's would be fun to watch in the evening when I put my kiddo's to bed! ;) I have Alissa's ordered but would love more....I am an information Junkie-haha!

Hi FaithFullyFit,

Where do you live in Texas? I plan to offer Alissa's classes in people's homes if that is something you may be interested in. Please feel free to email me at lifewise_1@hotmail.com.

I thought this set was well worth the money. Very motivating, inspiring, and informative.

I thought Dr. Doug Graham's Perfect Health Program was very informative and worth every penny. I've listened to it several times. It reinforces all of my beliefs about being a low fat raw vegan. It does not teach any fancy raw meal preparation though. Dr. Doug believes that mono meals are the most healthy for us, and so no need for fancy recipes. Having said that, if that's what you're looking for, Dr. Doug's set is not for you (but it is worthwhile in many other respects.) Best of luck!

Yes,

DaisyDuke and YeahBethany......

I was looking for both more reinforcement for being RAW ...I am mostly Mono-foods now .....AND.....for husband and kid's I wanted more creative enticements! ;) by way of some NEW recipes!

I am also a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Counselor and a RAW advocate to all of my clients EVEN, if they will only try 85% (i.e. H-Acres!) I would like the cd's to share with them- so maybe if it is motivating and inspiring a few of you....then I will get it for my ever growing library of "Rawness"

DD,

I live in The Woodlands (Spring/Conroe area) 1 hour North of Houston and 3.5 hours South of Dallas. Where are you located?

You know, I just wanted to say that I didn't mean to come off so harsh about these.

They have good information. I don't feel the quality is that good. At least not for three hundred dollars. BUT they are helpful and have a lot of information.

There were several things that influenced me and that I had never thought of in the raw food world.

I too, thought they were a good motivational tool. Dr. Doug sounds like a very nice, caring person.

I would still love to see his DVD set Making Friends With Your Food and see how the quality is. I am sure that if he produced it on his own it would be even better. Someday I may still get that, we will see.

So if you are into 811 or mono meals I say go for it! Knowledge is power they say. :p

Let us know what you think if you get them.

First I'd like to say that I also live in the Houston area so if anyone ever wants to get together for a jog or run or bike please let me know!!

Second, I love Dr. Graham and have experienced SERIOUS health turn arounds on the 8/1/1. I am actually trying to save up money to go to the Health and Fitness Week in September. I am really excited about it. Has anyone here ever gone?? Maybe someone here would like to join me??

don't get me wrong though... Alissa has helped me sooo much, and now she is realllly helping me to get my family to transition to raw...or at least eat more and more raw!

Wow, Vandy, I think that would be so cool to be able to go to that. I think that would be so helpful to be able to talk to Dr. D upfront.

I too, have had huge improvements in my health while following his way of eating.

You will have to let us all know what it was like after you go.

Thanks faith4u I will! By the way... since I have lived in tropical climates my whole life (like 90 degree weather alll the time), I had a HHHARRRDDD time going to Nashville for college b/c it was sooo cold (even though some of the students said it wasn't bad at all).

Just wondering...how is Oregon weather in September...do you think I'll be alright?

I would love to go to Dr. Graham's Health and Fitness week. I am a school teacher, though, and September is an important month, so I can't go. I would love to hear how it is. I have only followed 811 and it has worked well for me. I have a lot of his books and cd's as well. I think he is a genius.

Where in Oregon is it? September is usually pretty nice still. So I think you will be okay. How long have you been eating 811?
