Hi everyone -

I know there are a few recovering anorexics on here and others that are dealing with food plan issues, so I am putting this out to anyone that can help. Here are my issues:

Eating enough food
Eating enough calories
Eating enough fat
Drinking enough water between meals (not supposed to mix water with food)
Spacing the meals far enough apart to allow for good digestion

I don't think it is good to mix sprouted grains with fat or sprouted legumes with sprouted grains or fruit with anything, and probably not good to eat too much at one time or too much fat throughout the day... here is my current diet (each bullet is a meal - 1/2 hour after fruit before next meal, otherwise @ 2hours between meals - I have a hard time fitting in an afternoon snack and still being hungry for dinner):

8 ounces water or rejuvelac
2 apples, 8 ouces water
1/2 cup sprouted grain
1 scoop Perfect food with 16 ounces water
1 - 2 pears
2 cups lentils with 3 cups greens and tahini dressing or ground flax
3 cups greens with 3 carrots, large salad with avocado dressing or flax wraps

I don't want to stay up to midnight to eat everything I need to and am trying not to supplement beyond Perfect food.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Veganman,
do you know about how many calories you need to be consuming? Also, I don't know if this is something that would work for you but why not try eating a bit more in the morning? maybe drink your water or rejuvelac and then a little later on maybe eat as many bananas as you can comfortably or something like that. Are you trying to gain weight, or just having trouble getting enough food in to sustain your weight? Remember if you are raw but aren't getting enough calories than you aren't really doing the raw lifestyle justice. ;) I'm not saying you are or aren't of course. I hope I can be of some help :)

good luck! :)

Hi Lunar*Fey -

thanks for the reply. I am shooting for 2200 calories right now. My nutritionist said to go for that. I am trying to gain weight. I agree that I need more calories and am trying to get them in a way that is healthy and digestible. I have read that small meals are best, but if I am waiting a period of time between meals, then I don't eat enough. I find larger meals don't digest quickly and I am not hungry (still digesting) and not ready to eat for quite a few hours.
