What is everyones favorite snacks? Sometimes I get a major case of the munchies... especially at night. Would love some snack ideas.

As I type this, I'm snacking on apple slices topped with almond butter and raisins.
Bananas and almond butter is also a favorite of mine; zucchini chips (dehydrated) are pretty good; that onion bread dried until crunchy crackers is really good...those are a few!

Dehydrated banana chips, apples with nutbutter, onion crackers with mock salmon. I have to stop now because I have just got the munchies lol

Currently, it's the onion bread.

My favorite is sweet potato chips with almond butter & honey on them. Except I make the chips thicker so that they are chewy as opposed to being thin and cruncy like potato chips. Just my preference.
Another snack I like is banana slices with almond butter and dates on it, but I'm going to try it with raw tahini and raisins. (Keep in mind that I have a sweet tooth, so my snacks are usually sweet.)
Often times, I just like to eat a plain ol' apple as a snack! LOL. ;)
Oh yeah, the date-nut torte is another good one! <SLURP>

I have to have the worst sweet tooth in the world, so it's been a challenge for me not to eat a ton of sugar at night. So, when I get the "sugar-bug" I have been eating almond butter mixed with raisins or else making strawberry/banana "ice cream" (just frozen berries and bananas and oh so creamy!). That's been tiding me over for the past week :o

Oooh! I forgot one other thing I've been snacking on! I like to chop up an apple and toss it around with a splash of lemon juice and tons of cinnamon, yum!

I'm addicted to the mock salmon. It's one of those few raw food items I could eat until I explode... I like to make a giant bowl then just rip the nori and scoop it out. The way we used to eat frijoles and tortillas when I was a kid.
I'm also a big fan of frozen grapes. A fellow with like 25 grand kids told me frozen grapes were good when the kids were teething. I thought they just sounded tasty and they certainly were.

Half defrosted frozen berries, oranges, figs, baby carrots..
.I recently discovered Alissa's sweet potato chips...which having tried ages ago, I didn't like since they were cut too thick...now that I have the spiral slicer, I have rediscovered an old love.
(Sweet potatoes baked are like my true love...I have been known to eat several in a day. I also adore ruby yams, which are actually even more healthful) I am so thrilled that I can continue to eat them as chips!
Cassy.
