Hello all!

I am in transition from SAD to RAW and will hopefully be 100% raw within the next week. I have been studying and reasearching RAW for several years and the longest I went raw was 3 weeks. I want this time to be forever. I have a cooked family that will probably not ever eat this way 100%, but thats okay, because this is for ME! (at least for now :D ) I look forward to posting and talking with each of you and learning all I can. I will also probably be signing up for the raw food boot camp within the next month. Have any of you heard about this/done it/liked it?

Very grateful!
Nicole aka Rawsomegirl

WELCOME

one of our regulars is as administrator at the Raw food bootcamp.

it is www.rawfoodbootcamp.com (http://www.rawfoodbootcamp.com)

Carlene is a member here, and lost about 130 pounds in less than a year, she looks great by the way, anyway, she started what she calls the raw food boot camp specifically to help facilitate weight loss in people who have over 75 pounds to lose, although I think she has now more than one boot camp that offers help to people who have less to love.

I think you can go to
www.Ibeatobesity.com (http://www.Ibeatobesity.com) and find out more information, about what she did and all.

She is an inspiration to us all.

Hi all, wanted to just say HI and let ya'll know I'm around Nashville too! I also could use support as I am very new to all raw and still have some deletions to do in my daily intake...

I am very close to Hendersonville and am wondering what class it is or if any groups/folks get together and 'raw talk'? Thanks for all being here!!

cdepalmer,

try journeytobliss.org
I am not sure if they are still in business in Nash or not, but Ive been meaning to call and keep forgetting! Someone had it on a raw food board recently and I think they sell prepared raw foods, or they did

Are any of you Nashvillians involved in the monthly raw food potluck that we have here? I have only went to one, but am dying to go to next months. The next one is this saturday I think, but I wont be able to make it again :(

Hey, I really like that fitday.com! It is great and tells me exactly where I am with what I am eating, (which is not 100% raw at the moment). It is a great tool for me. LOVE IT!

I am up for any nashville buddies, get togethers, un-cook-offs, whatever.
Lets do this!

I live in western NC, but travel to TN here and there. I have a friend that belongs to the Nashville raw potluck group, so I'm hoping to make it over there one of these months soon. My family and I were going to go last month when Paul Nison was the speaker, but the hail and bad weather kept us home. :( I've been mostly raw since Feb 1st and have lost almost 40 pounds. Great to see so many people in the south getting raw!

Hey all!
Where and when does this potluck meet? Don't think I can afford the Level 1 classes, can't even afford my own blender or juicer right now, but would love to join/come to a get together! Any one have any info?

Hey again, I just called 'The Produce Place' and they are still around and off Murphy Rd off West End. Thought I'd let ya'll know. Don't know what they have there, I didn't ask and until now have never heard of it. But it's there!

I just called The Produce Place off West end ave, and there is a lady that brings in raw prepared foods on Mon, Wed & Fri. Apparently she does this for another place also, and her name is Laura Button. The man told me there is just usually a variety of stuff, sometimes it could be all desserts, sometimes a variety of stuff. I cant wait to go!! They are open m-f from 9- 6:30. He also said that if we dont live close, to call first to make sure there is some raw stuff there. YAY!

Hi all,

I'm from the Nashville area too. I have been with the meetup.com raw food group here since it started in November 2004. Here is the link to it if any of you are interested:

http://rawfood.meetup.com/152/

We are not having any guest speakers this month (tomorrow-Saturday) but will spend some time talking to each other and hearing our stories and testimonies and getting to know each other better.

Some of our guest speakers have been Tonya Zavasta, Paul Nison, Brenda Lee Reed (http://www.genesishealingcenter.net/) some not as well know speakers that spoke about the Needok Rebounder, Fluoride in our water, etc.

Hope you are able to make this raw potluck. To be honest, I don't think I'll make this month as I plan on going to the air show, but hopefully I meet some of you at other potlucks.

Many people from our raw food potluck post here. You'll get the chance to try some of Alissa's recipes at our potlucks :D

I would like to hear more about the class in Hendersonville. Is it over, or can I still go? E-mail me if you like. nicolelatham73@yahoo.com. I would love to go.
Thanks!

If you are still interested in a raw food buddy, let me know. I think it would be great to be able to help each other since we live so close!

I am a member of Nashvilles raw food potluck since last year, but unfortunately have only been to one meeting, and it was in Lascassus, TN, in february. I either have been busy all the other times, or chickened out, aahhgghh, I know thats dumb, but I just hate doing stuff like that alone. My dh is not interested in raw food potlucks, so Im a loner on this one. I have read your profile and all a couple of years ago on another raw website-cant remember which one now, but thought your story was awesome. Maybe one day I will see ya at a potluck!

Hi Nicole,

I was at the one in Lascassus :)

There a many who come to the raw potlucks without their spouses. Mine usually comes even though he's not into eating raw.

We'll meet sometime. Just keep you eye out for one that works with your schedule.
