Is nutritional yeast different from baking yeast? Where would you purchase that? Is there a particular brand name that I should be looking for?

Yes, nutritional yeast is different. It is a yellow inactive food yeast grown on molasses. It gives dishes a cheesy or eggy or chickeny flavor, depending on the recipe. You can find it in some supermarkets, usually in the health food aisle, and in natural food stores. A well-known brand is Red Star Vegetarian Support Formula. Another is Kal, which I've heard is actually Red Star under a different label, but I don't know that for sure. It is important to read ingredient labels because some nutritional yeast has whey added.
Nutritional yeast isn't raw, but some people like to use it as a seasoning anyway.
