Freezing chocolate cake

Hi all --

Does anyone know if one can freeze Alissa's chocolate cake -- the one with carob and figs. I made it last night, but it is so dense and rich. There is no way it will be finished before it goes bad. I would hate to through it away!

I am not sure but if it helps I have kept the date nut torte in the fridge for over a month and it was still fine! I have also frozen the base into balls really well.

I have also frozen the choco late pie really well - the one with avocado base.

Thanks for the reply. I might turn the pie into chocolate balls and freeze it that way. Good idea!
