Chris Update

I spoke with Carmel briefly today...Chris, Caramel and Laura are now in Maine where Alissa is.

They are still getting settled in...Laura is in school there now, Carmel is back working as Alissa's Assistant, Chris is bedridden due to paralysis (the tumor was shrunken, but apparently the damage had already been done) but he's still hanging in there. Keep them in your prayers and/or thoughts!

I'm not sure...that was kinda Carmel's words when she told me he was still paralized and I asked her if they were not able to shrink the tumor and she said, "Oh yeah...they shrunk it down, but the damage had already been done". I didn't get to talk with her at length so I'm not sure if it's reversible or not...I seem to recall her mentioning that they (the doctors) are saying it could go either way but they're not certain. I'm expecting to talk more indepth with her this weekend sometime, so I'll try and get more detail if she cares to share.

Yes thank you so much for the update it is very much appreciated I know they often come into my thoughts and I wonder how things are going for them all. Glad to hear that the move went ok and that they are now close to Alissa. They will still certainly be in my prayers. God Bless them.

I don't know the nature of the nerve damage and I know nerve damage is rarely seen to heal in human beings (unlike amphibians, for example), but Mitchell May's story is an inspirational one, nonetheless:

As for the nerve damage I Had several nerves in my shoulder streched, torn,, cut, sliced, diced ,and sewn,back together severl times and it has taken me about 7 years to start to feel things with my hand again

So I feel nerves can heal but the takes a very long time to do it

Thank you so much for the update Rawkinlocs, I will continue praying for them in my daily meditations and am so glad to hear they were able to make the move and are getting settled in. Healing thoughts to Chris and knowing that his recovery is in progress.
