I've told this to people online and offline and most of them look at me like I'm crazy.

What's a good way to go about explaining this to people? I've read "Green For Life" and I am getting ready to read it a second time, but I want to be able to talk to people about it instead of saying "oh, you should this book..." etc etc.

How I explain this is: I get a paper and pen and ask people to name vegetables and I write 'vegetables' at the bottom of the page (only the tubers!) as everyone names zuchini, peppers, tomatoes etc then I write those on top of the page as they call them then when they call 'greens' I write them in the middle! Draw a line above tubers and write 'grow in ground' vegetables; draw a line between greens and 'fruits' and I write all the unsweet fruits that people refer to as vegetables and tell them it grows on a tree or a shrub and has seeds its a FRUIT; and then the greens in the middle (I add kale, chard, carrot tops and beet tops as 'greens' they are NEUTRAL! try it for yourself! Play with the concept and the drawing part till you get it. It's fun!

ie; the carrots are below the line in the dirt = vegetable then I draw carrot tops above the line edible greens, then draw bushes and trees and place all the 'true fruits' I get "ah, I get it" wow! hope this helps
