Has anyone made any of the following breads from Miss Cohen's book: banana(pg.331), blueberry(pg.332), carrot raisin(pg.333), or cinnamon raisin(pg.335)?
How did they turn out? They "sound" wonderful. Any advice?
Thanks.

Hi Scott,
Out of what you listed, I have only made the banana bread a long while back. It was okay but I would have liked it a little sweeter.
Now what I DO love as banana bread is (believe it or not) Alissa's burger bun recipe (pg. 330) made into banana bread!
What I did was, everything in the recipe was the same (even the carrots) BUT I omitted the herbs, curry, garlic and sesame seeds and I added about 2 bananas (nice and ripe ones), agave to taste (just kept tasting the dough), about a tsp of cinnamon and some chopped walnuts (added those AFTER blending so it would be chunky with walnuts).
I spread it on the unbleached parchment paper (or you can use teflex if that's what you have) about 1/4 inch thick into one large square sheet and dehydrated until dry and peelable, flipped it over and dried more until it was still soft and pliable, but not wet and mushy.
I have a picture here for visual purposes: http://public.fotki.com/Rawkinlocs/live_food_pictures/random_food_pics/banananutbreadcollage.html
One other thing, my buckwheat wasn't sprouted because I have problems with sprouted buckwheat fermenting on me in recipes...so I just soaked it overnight. I tested this by one time using unsprouted and it was perfect...used sprouted and it had that slightly sour taste.

Thank you much Rawkinlocs. All advice from the experts is helpful to me as a newbie. Hope to be able to help others at some point.
The bread looks and "sounds" wonderful.
Thanks.

Rawkinlocs, I checked out that banana/flat bread picture, and had to look at some of your other photos... You have some beautiful photos in that album! That carrot cake looks awesome, great presentation, I totally have to make that now... LOL! :) Did you use Alissa's recipe for the carrot cake?

Thanks Scott and Debra!
Yeah, that's Alissa's carrot cake but with a few modifications that I indicated in the following thread: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13662&highlight=carrot+cake
Just scroll down a bit and you'll see my post.
