I have been doing really well for about 5 days now, and then my parents took me to a restaurant yesterday. I got the salad bar, and I put some cooked corn on my salad not thinking anything about it.

Next thing I knew I was craving like I did on the SAD diet. My body wanted food, and it wanted it NOW!

Is it the cooked corn that set me off? Is this a normal reaction to cooked food? It was definitely a lesson on how your body reacts to raw vs. cooked!

Luckily the idea of food nauseates me right now.

Hi, Fizz! I had the same experience. I had 12 solid days at 100%, and then I went out to eat with my kids the other day. We went Mexican, and I ate some chips with salsa. The next day, due to circumstance, we were eating out again, and though I ordered raw, I ended up picking at my daughter's fries and some other stuff. That was yesterday, and today feels like starting all over. I'm just glad I'm in a mindframe to go forward starting RIGHT THIS MINUTE instead of using my lapse as a reason to fall completely off the wagon & get run over by it! So... yesy, I know exactly where you're coming from. I think it is all related because I pretty much belive what Victoria Boutenko says about cooked food being an addiction. Just pick yourself up & go on!

Yep, same thing happened to me when I ate half of a cookie. Next thing you know I was craving all kinds of stuff like crazy. It seems that any time I have a bite of something not considered raw, the same thing happens. I just end up causing myself to have tons of cravings for bad food. Best to just stay completely raw, for me that is.

Yep, some just can't handle cooked AT ALL. Like me! One bite and I'm off 100% for months, literally. Some can transition while others cannot.
