Ok so here's the thing. I made the crepes banana leather and left it in the dehydrator after it was done and it has been like ok so lets say 5 days. Is it still good or do I have to throw it away and start over? I am a food paranoid so any help would be great cause I also hate to waste. Thanks
Lisa

Because it's dried and as long as there is no moisture, I'd say it's still good. But you might want to refrigerate it pronto to ensure it stays okay until you're ready to use it. But I've made fruit leather from other fruits and kept it in a ziploc unrefrigerated for about that long (until my kids ate it up) and it was fine.

We make banana leather all the time, it is still good, as long as it was dried.

It will last a very long time in the freezer or fridge, we store all of our leather in the freezer.

It is exceptionally great with almond butter and/or agave nectar.mmmmmmmmm

Banana leather???? is that made from the skins? If so does the skin taste like the banana meat?

Nah, fruit leather is made by pureeing fruit, spreading it on a dehyrator tray, and drying it. Think of fruit roll-ups (if you're familiar with the product), only healthier.

Oh ok, I get it Spectatrix.... thanks. Sounds yummy... I can't wait to get a dehydrator.
