Today I went for a Hike at the nature reserve near us and it was fantastic to get out in the woods just me and the dog away from all the trappings and advertisements that city life brings.

It was around 92 degrees and rising and I had a great time.

Here's some pics.

Hey...nieghbour!

It's the one by Joe Pool Lake, I think it's called the Dallas nature reserve now.

It's great because it has several trails of all sizes, I just put the hard ones together and do those, I'm planning to run one of the small trails soon.

Thanks for sharing those pics! I go hiking in the bayou, which is pretty much my backyard...it looks a lot like that reserve. It's my favorite time of day when I get to get out there and jog....

Oh I am so jealous. Sure wish I was hiking right now, instead I am stuck in my office until this evening. Then we are going on the riverboat. Wahhh, maybe next weekend.

I was out on a hike today and I've gotten into the habit of taking my camera because of the natural beauty out there.

Wow, that's beautiful. I'll have to find a place like that closer to Temple.
