Howdy!!!

Summer time is almost here and in Texas it means BBQ's. so I was wondering what do you do in social events that are base around food to stay raw?. for the next 3 months we have BBQ's and dinners to attend and becouse of business reasons it wouldn.t be wise not to go.
We don't have a problem with meat as we were vegetarian for ethical reasons before raw but the cooked salads and veggies well!! that is an other story ;) ,
So how can we stay raw thru the summer season with out hurting the feelings of the host/hostess when and if we bring our own food? and what does everybody think about raw wine?
Please help!!!! we seem to be ok 90% to 100% most of the time by our selves but with othesr at social events specially if there's drinking is very hard to make good choices.

Thank you for any ideas given.

HAVE A CREATIVE DAY

Offer to bring some dishes. Even if it's not officially a potluck BBQ, few hosts/hostesses mind guests bringing extra food. You might take salad, raw cole slaw, fruit salad. Eat something beforehand if you can. Just politely decline any alcoholic drinks that are offered. Have water. Even iced tea, though not raw, is better than having a beer.
