Are they any good? And are there any recommendations you may have to tweak the recipe? They look devine on http://greenchefs.tv/alissa-cohen/BBQ-Chicken-Fingers/, but I am unsure if I can actually make them.

I had them and yes they do taste pretty good. I would not say exactly like bbq and the texture of course is not the same but they are tasty. I try to make recipes and not compare them to anything else and these were easy to do that with. I might even try blending them more next time and trying to make a crispy cracker or chip with them.
Definately worth a try at least once!!!

Thanks so much! I appreciate your advice on "not comparing" the food. Sometimes I just need to hear the obvious if you know what I mean. I will give the recipe a shot.

When I made them they came out a bit crumbly so I used them as "croutons" on a salad, very yummy.

Lots of trouble to make. Crumbled. Unremarkable flavor (dominated by the spice mix).

Marked these off my list. YMMV!

I made them at least twice and really liked them.

Here's another link with the recipe:

I didn't care for them at all. I like her Pecan-Carrot Burgers a lot more.

Those of you that didn't like them, did you have a sauce to dip them in? I had made a sweet and sour sauce.

Yes, I did have a sauce, but I didn't like the sauce either. I didn't like the texture of the chicken fingers most likely because the recipe called for cilantro and I didn't have it on hand, so I used coriander instead. That made the texture too powdery. I may try making them again with the proper ingredients. I'll also make a sauce for them that I like. I'll probably like them the second time around.

The recipe doesn't call for cilantro, are we talking about the same one? The BBQ Chicken fingers in my book have carrots, sprouted lentils, orange juice, onion, olive oil, honey, curry, poultry seasoning and salt.

Hey raweater: sorry, I confused the ingredients in the BBQ chicken fingers with the pecan-carrot burgers. But I did like the burgers. I guess I didn't mess up the chicken finger recipe, I just genuinely didn't like the recipe the way it's meant to be. But I'll still try it again. One's tastes change. We'll see.

They are almost done, but.. they seem kinda 'weird' to me. I tasted a small piece but didn't really like it. Maybe it will taste better with the honey mustard sauce?

How do these compare to Alissa's Un-chicken? We'll see.......
