You may noticed that I am trying to organize big time my kitchen and need lots of input. thanks in advance!

I recently bought a lot of grains and seeds for sprouting.

Do you have the in the counter (non-refrigerater) or in the fridge or freezer?

What fruits do you leave OUTSIDE of the fridge? what do leave INSIDE?

How do you organize your leafy greens? do you leave them in a plastic bag or container boxes?

What do you have in your fridge's drawer?

Thanks!!!

I have many of the same questions but I've read nuts and seeds will store longer in the fridge so I keep mine in there in the plastic containers they came in (although I am slowly and expensively replacing all plastic with glass Pyrex) and I store coconut, dates, sundried tomatoes, etc in the cabinets also in the containers they came in. Avocados I keep on the counter until ripe and then in the fridge and they keep there for a few more days. Apples on the counter for a few days, then in the fridge, oranges, lemons-fridge. I leave the lettuces in their bags. Fridge drawyer - lettuce, tomatoes, lemons, oranges, herbs. Let's hope that some others chime in and offer their input too !

I store all my grains in double freezer zip lock containers, in the oven, as it is never used.

I keep all my dried herbs and spices in the microwave,

I keep my nuts in double zip locks in the freezer, with just enough like 2 cups of each in my in house freezer, the rest are in my big freezer in the garage.

this is the way I do produce, if the store keeps it in a cooler, I keep it in the fridge, if it is kept out and is not cooled, I keep it on my counter, in wire baskets that are usually use in closets, but I keep them on my counter, in a stack of three, and keep fruits in them, then another 3 stack wire shelf under my large butcher block.

I do the same RP!!!

thanks for your input about the grains. I don't have much but was wondering if i could leave them in the counter, I just don't use them as much but love to have them available and not spoiled!
