Hi everyone out there,

I can't believe I am actually finishing up my fourth day raw. Let me start out by saying that I'm twenty-five and I've been sick and severly depressed most of my life. I have severe food allergies that the doctors couldn't diagnois. At one point I had a doctor tell me it was a brain tumor. I decided a couple of years ago that I had to do something. And everything I did made me feel better than before but still not great. Until a couple of days ago when I finally went raw. I have had more energy than I have ever had. The big thing though is that I had an experience that I just had to write about. I don't know if this is the right place to post, but...

Two nights ago I was having trouble go to sleep because my back hurt so bad. I finally got to sleep, but then woke up a few hours later in agony. My lower back just felt terrible. As I was lying in bed I actually felt my pain go away in waves. It was the oddest and most wonderful sensation.

silvia,
Welcome!!! And congratulations! That's awesome!! And the fact that you felt the pain go away in waves means your body is ALREADY starting to heal itself. Just think how much better you'll feel in 30 days. Are you doing the 30 day challenge?

You are doing GREAT!! Keep us posted of your progress.

Congratulations!! I am also finishing up my fourth day!!! I can't say I have noticed any positive changes, but I'm not holding my breath, so early and too many health issues.

Are you keeping the journal? I am, seems to help keep me focused.

I am excited for you - keep it up!

I'm glad you found this site sylvia. There's quite a bit of traffic here and a good place to talk about food. I battle depression a lot myself, not necessarily diagnosed that way (although it has been). My depression is less when I'm raw, but it's still there. I just don't like life much, raw gives me the feeling that I'm at least doing something with it. Staying raw for the long run is very, very difficult and I've been failing at it since the early nineties. I lifted my leg the other day for something and my whole lower back started killing me and slowly the pain went away over about three days. I didn't do anything to cause it so maybe it's due to the internal shifts, detox, whatever of the body while eating raw. ;) :D :o

Thank you for sharing, I have suffered severly with food allergies myself, I seem hyper sensitive to a lot of foods, all except raw.

I'm glad your life is turning around and you've found a way to heal yourself.

Great to hear Silvia - amazing what doctors will say - brain tumour!???

Congratulations for not giving in and finding your own way of healing - your body has miraculous strength - as long as your mind can follow.

Good luck on the rest of your Raw Journey - keep us posted!

Silvia
Glad you are here, welcome.:) I myself am finding that unfortunately many doctors although they want to help don't have a clue about the amazing healthing powers God put into our bodies if we will give them the right fuel.
Grats on reaching day 4, don't look back and keep going forward and in a few weeks a "new you" will appear.:)

Hi Sylvia,

Isn't it wonderful what fresh fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds can do for us? I'm so glad you discovered this and what to share your great success with us and to also be here so that we can share with you too!!!!!

I just went 15 days raw, and like you, my neck pain and headaches went away. It's amazing how raw foods can do so much for us!!!!!

Congrats, Sylvia,

It's great that you're finding relief from raw! I've also suffered from food allergies and can relate to the misdiagnosis.
