I've been craving hamburgers and veggie burgers lately, mostly because of the bun so I devised a little recipe that really helped. (sorry, no pictures, but it realy does look like a burger)
Ingredients:
-Portabella mushroom cap(s) with the stalk cut out (this is the substitute for an unhealthy cooked bun. I find that one cap is enough and I just have it open face but two would be great, I'm sure.
-1 or half of a fresh avocado
-1 or half of a fresh tomato
-Cold cucumber slices
-A squeeze of fresh lime juice
-Spices if desired
This just takes my cravings away instantly and is such a luscious meal that filled me up completely
With the leftover veggies or just if you have more, they taste great on a flax cracker, I tried it last night.
