Recently started to ease into raw.
I have always been aware of organic and fresh produce being better for you.
Since I am unable to prepare food for myself due to health problems, I have to depend on husband to do it. This can be very frustrating.
Also the availability of a variety of fresh foods is limited due to not living near any
large city that offers a choice.
I'm hoping my health which is held in limbo by MS and Chemical Sensitivity will improve.
Even my kitties are healthy on a homemade diet.

Perhaps your husband will go raw with you and you can share the journey.
Good Luck to both of you.

He only has time to fix one type of food so most gets fixed for my allergies, or else I don't eat.

It does seem that the cards are not stacked in your favour and it is going to take more effort on your part to make this conversion. However' the rewards are going to be greater as well and you will find that the more you get in to it the greater the improvement in your health will be and the more you will be able to do for yourself.
Maybe there is someone in your neighbourhood that you can tie up with who may also be interested in this journey and who can contribute more of the physical work while you add the commitment and encouragement.
If there was someone in my neighbourhood in your position I would love to be able to help.

You have no idea what effort I have put forth just to survive the last 6 years in dealing with MS and Chemical Sensitivity.
I live in a community of no one has time outside their own realm.
And no one is willing to wear agreeable clothes......organic cotton and avoid scents from shampoo and laundry detergent.........
Also everyone's own life is overbooked.

WOW Tonk Lover, sounds like there are some challenges in your life, I'm sure sorry to hear that.

sport, I love your suggestion to see if there is someone who might wish to help, I agree, that there are countless individuals that will help out in this type of situation.

Tonk Lover, there are also many people who will be able to help and get paid for helping, since you have a physical disability, and are unable to prepare your own food, then you may be able for some kind of assistance, either money to pay for a helper, or the person themselves, I know many people who have their meals brought to them, churches can often help to.

I know it can be a challenge to be raw, especially if there are circumstances that appear beyond our control.

But every thing is actually in our control, our lives reflect our beliefs about ourselves, so please beleive that there are wonderfully helpful and kind and loving people out there for you, and there will be.

I think your hubby sounds very sweet to make the food for the family, why not just tell him that you would like to eat fresh fruits and veggies for a while, and just aske for your favorites to be all cut up and ready for you, you can nibble all day, or just eat them for Breakfast lunch and dinner, no need to have fancy gourmet things, unless you wish.

Raw doesn't have to be difficult, it is really so very freeing to be able to go into any grocery store and pick what you want to eat for dinner and have it all ready immediately for you.

all you need is your teeth, or maybe a knife if you are so inclined.
