I am a fitness and nutrition counselor and of course I promote a RAW lifestyle to my clients within the first few minutes with them- haha!!

I have taken on a new client today with mild tourette syndrome....interesting notation -she was not born with the disorder or Tic's- they slowly developed after a period of illness in her teens and early 20's(heavy antibiotics)- she see's improvement when she eats well and avoids stress- hmmmmm? she is 40 now and very open to learning more about RAW- Has anyone reduced their symptoms slightly or completely after going RAW- Please share any experience. She does not want the medications!!!!! Who would? I have done some reading about candida causing more severe tourette's symptoms and she has the classic- Candida FOG. I really want to guide her the right direction and need some stories/testimonies to share with her.

Have a RAWESOME day!

I would see if B-12 methylcobalamin helps because high doses can repair neurological damage. Also, I imagine that trying other suppliments that have to do with the brain may help as well. I seem to have cured my depression, learning, focusing, concentration and emotional problems through 95%-100% raw and suppliments. Google "suppliments for tourette syndrome" to find articles. Here are some suppliments that have to do with nourishing the brain:

Here is a great post from another forum who's mother almost cured her son of tourettes syndrome through detox from candida and heavy metals (mercury) and natural supplimentation.

Here are some of the suppliments I take:

Ceralin (Metagenics Brand formula, seems to have done a HUGE amount of brain repair)
L-Glutamine
Pantothenic acid
B-Right formula by Jarrow
L-Tyrosine
B-12 methylcobalamin (HUGE amount of improvement and significant amount of deep brain tissue repair)
Cenitol
Lecithin (with ethanolomine, choline, inositol)
Vitamin E (helps to absorb B vitamins)
NeuroOptimizer by Jarrow
Neuromins DHA from Algea (GREAT for concentration)

I imagine that he can be helped a great deal with things like having metal amalgums replaced with white composites (I am having mine replaced in the next few months), detox, raw foods diet and suppliments. In my case, my doctor seems to feel I may have a problem with absorption of nutrients, especially B-12. We are also looking into other things through different tests. The tests I will be taking to find out shy I need so many suppliments are:

Comprehensive Digestive, Metabolic and Microbiological Stool Analysis (to see what comes out and why (nutrients?)

ALCAT Diagnostic System for immune reactions/sensitivities to foods, molds, chemicals, etc.

Functional Genomic tests - a variety of genetic panels

Organic Acid Testing (OAT)

Heavy Metal Tests

Homocysteine

Methyl Malonic Acid Test

Chemical screen

I hope this helps you. You could always have her call my RVD for a telephone consultation. Email if you want his number.
