Almonds..

Hello,

What is the diffrence between almond and sweet almond. Sweet almond seems to be more usual around were I live because I can't remember ever have seen ordinary almond. I guess there are some important nutritional or other diffrences between these two. Which one is the sort named in the recipes on here?

Hmm, I haven't heard of sweet almonds. I just buy organic raw almonds. I hope they don't mean that the sweet almonds have sugar on them?

No, its just two diffrent types of almonds. But I checked up on it myself and found out that the other two types are rarely used. Sweet tastes sweet and then there is one which tastes bitter and another one which is called "dessert almond" with a soft shell. I just wanted to make sure.
