This is my first post, but I have found what everyone else is writing so helpful! Here's my question: What is the most appropriate ratio of fruits to veggies to nuts, etc? And how much should I be eating? I have been basically raw (still trying to cut out dairy and fish, albeit I eat those sporadically) for a few weeks. My weight hasn't changed at all! I am so frustrated. I know I was eating too many nuts, so I have planned next week's menu with lentils, mung beans, etc as the main ingredients. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Everyone is different. Some do best on all fruit, some do best wtih mostly greens. Some need a lot of fat to feel energized and full, while others like me can't tolerage much fat well at all. You may want to try experiments of which ratio does best for you. Try to really tune in and liten to what your body needs. Somtimes I want all fruit one day, all veggies the next, and only large green salads another day. No one ratio is correct. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. :D

Everyone is different. Let your body be your guide. The book Conscious Eating is really great for helping one to understand the differences in everyone's body/metabolism, etc. It's by Gabriel Cousens.

My diet has evolved over the last 9 months.

Initially I ate in order high to low...Green Drinks, Greens, Almonds and Pumpkin Seeds, Choc Hemp Fudge balls & dehydrated crackers.

Now I eat Non Sweet Fruit, Green Drinks, Greens, Pumpkin Seeds and Almonds 2-3 times a week, limited quantity. My desert has changed to Raw Banana Ice Cream, 3-4 times a week.

Now I am adding Wheatgrass, it is growing now.

Thank you all for your replies. I went to Hippocrates today for the tour. Not sure if I have the time for the three-week "special" but I am more energized about being raw. The only non-raw food item I have had today is some soymilk. I read all of Alissa's book yesterday, so starting Monday, I am going 100 percent raw! I am sooo excited.
