My husband came home tonight and announced after our vacation that our ENTIRE FAMILY will be going raw....at first he wants to be high raw but eventually we will be ALL RAW.

I'm there already, but for the rest of the family, this is a huge transition.

I am just beyond thrilled.

It is to help our son who has a form of autism.

He said he'd do anything to help him and if that means diet, he'll do it.

He's been reading about it for days now and came to that conclusion.

Just keep us in your thoughts as our entire family is going to be raw in a matter of months! :D :D :D :D

You will be so pleased with your decision when you start observing improvemenets in your son's health and behaviour! My 14-year-old son has been diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome, and autism-spectrum disorder, and I have certainly observed such imrpovements since our transition began three years ago (he is high raw, vegan, no gluten or dairy, eats fruit all day, and mixed stuff at the end of the day).

Congratulations. I am so very happy for you. What a sensitive and gentle man. I bought my boyfriend a gift card to Whole Foods and he said, "Oh no, you can have the health food, just give me fat and salt, fat and salt, fat and salt.". As you can see, it might be a tough road ahead for me.

omg how fun and awesome Pam!!!!

We are doing raw (the whole family) just recently too!!! That's good that he wants to start doing the H one, I think that's a good way to get started. We have been doing this veryyyyyyyyyy slowly, but yes, lately I have been incorporating new fruits/veggies to our diet (and daughters too) and they are doing ok, sometimes not so ok, but sometimes very good. I have noticed that by keeping my daughters busy for a longggggggg time and snacking on a lot of fruits, then late in the afternoon when everyone is reeeeally hungry for a big meal, my daughter eats ANYTHING I put in her plate! (lol) Baby steps Pam, wtg!!!

That is super!. It is very exciting to be inheriting new raw buddies. My husband was moved to do more raw when I was diagnosed with precancer and hyperplasia and I was told I needed a hysterectomy. We strongly want children, so this was enough for him to become my raw buddy. (that and his mother died of cancer, so that word really scares him). I wish you and your family the best!

Vacation can't come and go fast enough! LOL

But, I did tell my husband that just because everyone else is starting after vacation, doesn't mean that I'm going to go off AT ALL on the trip! I'm going prepared and won't fall into that trap that I've got to have all that SAD snack foods while on the trip.

Gatorgrrl, what a better reason to do raw but for your future children! :) That's so touching!
