Almond Butter

I have tried making almond butter in my food processer and the vitamix and it is not coming out right. In the vitamix i added oil.. and it is really chunky it didnt even blend.. am I suppose to be adding something else? I buy raw almond butter from whole foods and it tastes so good and the ingredients just say raw almonds butt i dont know what im doing wrong

I haven't tried it yet either, but my book says to just keep the food processor running and keep scraping down the sides and eventually it will turn to "butter". They say its difficult to make though so that's why I haven't tried it yet!
