First, check out this thread about chocolate : http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13840
Second, I experiment regularly in the kitchen and although I never write anything down, I'll try to give an approximate for a chocolate sauce .... It might be what you're looking for - or it might be totally awful! :D
1/2 cup to 1 cup of soaked dates (soaked at least 4 hours)
soak water from dates, to desired thickness or thinness
vanilla extract to taste, maybe 1 tsp.
tiny pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup to 2/3 cup carob powder or cacao powder
Blend Blend Blend until smooth!
I've tried adding a spoon of coconut oil, which is yummy but changes the flavour a LOT. I've also tried half an avocado with more water and it gives great texture and consistency, but my sister said she could taste the avo really strong... but usually the soaked dates, vanilla and carob/cacao is a great one for me - easy and quick too.
Maybe this will give you an idea at least to start from? Good Luck!

I have a really yummy chocolate sauce or syrup I came up with yesterday,
it is
Agave
Carob
Vanilla
that's it!
Just mix it up really well!
It is very yummy on banana ice cream, it even has the texture of real hershey's sauce ( I think so ).
