I made these, and they were very good, but I'm not sure if I made them right.
Ok, the recipe calls for 2 cups sprouted buckwheat. Is that two cups before or after sprouting?
It also calls for 3/4 cup soaked flax seeds. Is that 3/4 cup before or after soaking? Also, it matters how much water they are soaked in as the seeds tend to jell up just about any amount of water you put in there. Do you put 3/4 cup of water?
Ok, that's all :)

Please help somebody. They were tasty, but I don't think I got them quite right.

hang on Monica - the pros will be here soon. In the meantime, I think I remember reading that she says in her book that it is measured after it is soaked. I would think you use more water to soak

Yes, usually you measure after you soak.

I'm glad you asked this question, it's something I'm never quite sure of myself.

Ok, that makes sense for the buckwheat, but for the flax seeds? It seems odd to me that one would just have soaked flax seed around, and then they measure out certain amounts for recipes....
For the flax seeds, the recipe called for 3/4 cup soaked flax seeds, so I took 3/4 cup of dry flax seeds and soaked them in 3/4 cup water (since in Alissa's sprouting guide it says to soak 1 cup of flax seeds with 1 cup of water).
Not sure though.

When I made it I measured the flax seed before soaking and the sprouted stuff after sprouting---I thought it came out fine.
