View Full Version : Why does this always happen to me?

I have been all raw again for two weeks. I have been very high raw with many all raw times for 8 months.

When I go all raw my teeth hurt so badly. My energy just plummets too. I find it so hard to exercise etc...

So why is this? I am beginning to think if I can make 100% work for me or not. Here is why:

I cannot eat nuts/seeds. It's like my body just cannot digest them. I get horrible pains, bloating, gas, headahes etc... I can eat a little coconut and avocado but not real frequently.

So that leaves me with fruit and greens. BUT greens seem to be making my nursing baby very gassy.

What's left? Fruit. BUT that makes me wonder about my teeth. My hair is also coming out quickly. At first I thought this was from a hormonal shift after having my last baby but it is lasting longer than ever before.

When I am high raw I can focus on more veggies and less fruit because if I steam veggies a littel bit I can eat more of them to fill up. Or I eat beans which also fill me up (I cannot eat them raw without extreme pain).

But I would really like to make it work. It is odd though because within about 3 days of going all raw my teeth start hurting really badly. BTW, I have fantastic teeth, no cavities etc. and want to keep it that way. :p

Any ideas?

Thanks everyone.

Not much advice I can give you if you've determined that fruit, greens and nuts aren't for you!

But as far as teeth, rinsing with water and baking soda right after you eat fruit works great. Someone suggested here that brushing right after is not a good idea, but to wait. I found that was good advice. Rinsing, however, right after, is better. Then brush later when you can. This helps tremendously.

Best,

I think you need to eat more than just fruit and greens. You would not be getting enough fat or protein if your diet were that limited. Can you eat sprouts? Find a way to incorporate olive oil into your diet?

As for the teeth hurting, I have no clue. I don't eat much fruit. It does to me pretty much what nuts do to you.

when you eat nuts, eat them like you would in nature, that means, assume that you must harvest them and crack them and eat them, which means you might eat maybe 1/2 cup total in a sitting or per day.

you would also eat as much fruit as you could hold probably, as far as greens, you would probably eat as much until you were full or eat them with something else, because of the taste.

What you might consider doing is to eat the raw food and simply go through the process of allowing your body to heal.

You said you were raw for 8 monhts, what did you eat then?
where you having these symptoms then?

only you can decide what works for you,

I know that I have gone 100% raw many times, and each time I do, I have differenet detox symptoms, once I was in bed for 3 weeks, with terrible abdominal cramps, but I went through it, and it lasted 3 weeks, I didn't faulter I kept eating raw, and all I was eating was melon every day, but you can only do what you can do.

Oh yes, also, when we say things like "This ALWAYS happens to me" or

"Why does this happen to me?" we are programming our minds to do just that, ALWAYS have that particular thing happen,

so I choose to look at things differently, "Wow, this happened, what is my learning, so I can keep it from happening again?" and then my mind wraps itself around that statement, it does it's best to find a learning from that situation.

I'm don't have any advice for you, sorry, but I also can not have nuts or seeds and minimal avocado. I do A LOT of fruit and vegetables and huge salads...works for me, but everyone is different. Detox can manifest itself in hundreds of symptoms it seems. You just have to push through it...good luck nad I hope you find waht works best for you.

Maybe you can drink nutmilks instead of eating the whole nuts? Milks digest easier, but you're still getting the protein and other nutrients.

Best,

Hi Jaurequi, Actually fruit seems to be fine but I am wondering if that is why my teeth hurt because I eat so much of it when I am all raw.

Thanks RP. Unfortunately, a tiny bit of nuts doesn't go over well with my body (at least for now).

Yeah, I always first think "detox" but I am beginning to wonder if that is just what we automatically point to. Sometimes I wonder if it is truly detox or something else that our bodies are trying to tell us. I don't know.

I know what you mean about the way I worded my title. It more for grabbing your attention than anything. I was just crying out for some help. I feel frustrated trying to figure this all out.

Thanks so much for your help.

Yeah, I wonder if that would work for me. I almost hate to try it because the pain and discomfort takes days to go away...
:)

Thanks for the suggestion.

Have you tried incorporating some hemp protein powder into your smoothies?
I used to experience the same problem with my teeth hurting and being sensitive to anything I ate...lettuce, celery, fruit, etc.
I did increase my avocado consumption and flax consumption, which seemed to help, and I added hemp protein powder to my diet. It may help to make blended salads with avocado also so that you digest the avo better. Just some thoughts...
