I canÂ’t believe today is my 3 month mark! It feels like itÂ’s been longer. Is that bad? I dunno. Although my family definitely feels like itÂ’s been a lot longer and that is bad. They say IÂ’m more moody. And I was already moody to begin with because of my health problems. But I canÂ’t give up. I have to get healthy! :p
When I first started this raw diet I gave myself a minimum of a 90 day commitement. Shortly after I started I decided to give it a 10 month commitement. IÂ’m taking my birthday month off. I want to see the difference as well. Then after a month I will probably go back on it for 11 months. Then maybe one month off for my birthday month. Then hopefully 90% raw but more realistically 80% raw. I hope IÂ’m not ostercized for this approach. :o
Also I have lost 40 pounds in the last 90 day. Which is really great because I was stuck with my weightloss for a long time. I thought I would be stuck there forever. I still have more to go. ;)
My main goal with going raw is to get healthy and have ENERGY!!! I am kinda disappointed that after 3 months I still have constant daily fatigue. But I look at this way, IÂ’ve been in this mess for 12 years itÂ’s going to take more than 3 months to get out of it. I just get my hopes so high when I read these testimonials about how people feel great sometimes after weeks or sometimes even days. But each body is different. I will keep fighting for my health or die trying!

Congrats on your 3 months! I'm close to that mark.
I'm just curious, why take that one month off? If you see weight loss and ohter health benefits during these 10 raw months then why put them to a hault or reverse them in that one month "off'? Especially after raw for 10 months I believe your body will react really negatively to the toxic food since it's so much cleaner now. You'll have to go through detox (cravings?) and other things ALLL over again! I'm not saying this will happen to you, but when I went backed to cook I gained 20 pounds in a month...(not even with junk food, just brown rice, steamed veggies, and some lean fish).

Minnie,
CONGRATS - YOUR DOING AN AWESOME JOB - KEEP YOUR FIRE BURNING
I AM RIGHT BEHIND YOU, TODAY IS DAY 86 FOR ME 4 MORE DAYS TO A MAJOR MOUNTAIN ACCOMPLISHED.
DO SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YOU. GO SOMEPLACE,DO SOME THING, AS A SPECIAL TREAT FOR YOUR SELF, (of course nothing sad related).
So your next goal is? Write it down. Put it somewhere where you see it all the time. Confess it. - ie., My body is in great shape, my allergies are healed and gone, I have a balanced intake of proper nutrients and vitamins and amino acids - my body tells me what I need - my muscles are strong and flexible - my family supports me and does not discourge me - they are seeing great changes in me. This is just an example for you you'll need to modify it for your own goals of course. Then be thankful for achieving these goals.
You answred your own question:
My main goal with going raw is to get healthy and have ENERGY!!! I am kinda disappointed that after 3 months I still have constant daily fatigue. So you've been a mess for 12 years - and it's going to take more than 3 mothes to get cleaned up. Don't get down about this - atleast you know it and are doing something about it. Alot of people know they need to change their lifestyle, but never do anything about it.
Right here sounds to me that it's more than just a hope - sounds to me that you got some moxy in your system = "I just get my hopes so high when I read these testimonials about how people feel great sometimes after weeks or sometimes even days. But each body is different. I will keep fighting for my health"- your right, everybody's body is different. Just think of your testimony! just think of how your will encourage and infect, yes I spelled it differently because it changes the inside of a person from the mind, ( the heart) down through the members and functions of a person. There are people who are in the same "boat/ body that your are " and they are watching and listening ~~~~ KEEP YOUR FIRE BURNING

I was vegan for 17 years. When on vacation, I abandoned my healthful life-style for one month and ate whatever was presented to me, with the exception of meat. I didn't have any meat and very little cheese. I gained 20 pounds in one month and can't believe I did such a rediculous thing. I've gone 99% raw since then and love it. My progress in gaining health (I have MRSA - antibiotic-resistant staph infection) is much slower because of all the weight I have to lose. You might want to reconsider whether you want to 'take a month off' of something as beautiful and life-giving as the raw food life-style. Perhaps you can treat yourself to other things you'd like to do during your birthday month. Out of all the things you desire to do, what could you best give yourself as a birthday gift? Perhaps learn something new or have a new experience of some kind! Something that you could look back on with delight, rather than regret. Whatever you choose, do it with all that is in you, recognizing that the joy is in the 'doing', as well as in the results of your efforts!
