I am so inspired by all of you who say that cooked food doesn't even appeal to you. I know that most of you who say that are 100% raw. I'd like to take a poll and see how long it took you to not care about the food from the first time you went raw.

Day one. :) :) Mostly, I do not crave cooked hardly ever. Once in a while, I just cant take one more raw veggie and lightly steam or cook it. Maybe twice a month I will have cooked veggies and once in a while I will cheat in addition to that with something naughty like a veggie pattie or something like that. I would say overall I am about 95%raw. At times I will be 100% for a week or two without cheating. For the most part I could care less about cooked.

In the beginning I wanted bread. This lasted for about 6 weeks. There is nothing that I want now.

day one for me too. At first once in a while I kind of wanted cooked beans or lentils...I love cooked beans and lentils but raw bean and lentil sprouts just don't sit with me well for some reason...they make me feel sick. But I never crave them...when I see cooked food it really doesn't look like food to me at all...and then for a second I'm actually shocked to see someone eating it (honestly) and then reality hits me lol.

I pretty much didn't eat cooked food or even want it from day one. I've dealt with a lot of food allergies for the past 4 years so I'm used to a restricted diet and have leared alot of self discipline. Cooked food doesn't even appeal to me at all. Sometimes it smells good, but I certainly dont' want to eat it. Working in a bakery takes alot of self discipline but it's worth it. Only occasionally do I want cooked oatmeal. Oatmeal has to be my all time favorit SAD food ever...even when I was little and could barely talk I begged for oatmeal.

I'm on day 10 on the raw challenge, 100% raw & now I don't even get hungry like I used to I cook cooked food for my siblings and I don't even feel like trying it one bit... The first few days I was really hungry all the time but now I'm not. I think it's all a process & everyone's body can be different when it comes to detachment from cooekd foods.. it's not always easy, but it's the best thing to do. I'm going to see how far I can go being 100% raw. I don't know how simple it will be if I travel outside the usa, but I guess i'll see what happens.

I hope everyone is doing good :) Stay strong!!

Same for me. Coming off a 6 month cooked fest the first three days are ALWAYS the hardest, but after that I have no desire for cooked at all. Just looking at the food recently that people put in their bodies amazes me. I'm so shocked how people can literally survive by eating that. I can't imagine any other way to eat than raw now.

I haven't craved cooked foods really. My body hasn't that is. I do 'miss' breads though... but I know I have the option of making crackers and the like. I finally did make my first food with grains: Alyssa's Morning Muffins. It took me forever to finally get some wheat (Kamut in this case) and to soak and sprout them. Once I did, the rest was easy. They came out great, and lasted for several days worth of snacking.

I figured I was in the minority. It usually happens that I'll think about something for a long time, and then when I finally make my decision to go for it -- everything is pretty easy. I had been wanting to eat all raw for quite a while, checked out this forum, purchased the book and DVD, ... and then about a YEAR later, I took the 30 day challenge. Today is my 30th day, and I'm still having fun! :)

I'm sure everyone has certain challenges .. some come sooner, some later, some physical, some emotional .. and some people probably just have challenges in areas outside of food. For me, my challenges are more in the area of exercise ... as in I DON'T DO IT. I have in fits and starts, but not for a while now. That's one area where I am always amazed and inspired by people who just go on a run every day, or whatever it is for them. That one has been a challenge for me for ever.

when I am 100% raw, then I don't want cooked, but when I eat even a bit of it, a canned olive, bottled salad dressing, then I crave cooked for about 3 or 4 days after
