View Full Version : Not too hungry... healing?

Just a curiosity question to get some opinions or experiences.

I am on day 3 of being back on raw. The first two days I was "hungry".... total mind play though in my opinion. I woke up this morning and lounged in the bed until about 9:30, although I felt a difference in my energy and could have gotten going earlier. I expect that my energy will totally peak and ebb as I detox, but it was a nice smooth energy and I am glad.

I started cleaning house (my dh really appreciated that!!) and realized about 12:30 or so that I had not eaten or drank today. No big deal, just interesting. I knew I needed to at least drink some water though.

I made the "KFC" coleslaw (good by the way) and tasted about three bites. I had shredded the whole head of cabbage, so I mixed the rest with light dressing of almond milk, nutritional yeast, sea salt, garlic and cayenne. (was experimenting, but it was pretty tasty!!) I ate about 8-10 bites and am really not hungry any more. Trust me, I have about 75 lbs to lose, so I don't mind not being hungry, but it just seems a bit strange. Think its some healing/detox going on? I know I have some major healing that has to take place in my body, so maybe my body needs to focus on that more than digesting food, eh? I got my big 52 oz jug out that I drink water out of and filled it with ice and water and it is about empty. I am very full and almost a bit bloated feeling though now! ;)

Well, just sitting here thinking about it, so thought I would post. It is so great to be back on raw! My body is so much happier and my mind is way more peaceful (my dh and ds will appreciate that!). I have lost about 3 lbs already by being back on track and eating right!!! HOOREY!!!

Anyway, I plan on listening to my body today about what and when to eat, but figured I bend some ears about it...

YOU ARE DOING SO WELL,

Yes, I have experienced this, in my journal I talk about this and it just comes, one day I'm ravenous, the next day, I don't eat anything or maybe one piece of fruit for the whole day,

It seems to go in cycles for me, so now, I'm just letting it be.

I think you are so smart to simply listen to your body.

If you are like me, you'll find this "not being hungry" sensation as a new thing to you, and it just feels Odd, but in some way perfect.

I love the freedon I have in my body when I am raw, there is no feeling I have ever had that even comes close to being this free.

By that I mean, free from my addictive feelings of desperation to eat anything that walks across my path in life. LOL

YOU RAWK!!!

Oh yes, Rawpriestess, it is an odd feeling not being hungry and/or not shoving food in my mouth just because its "noon". Ya' know, what I mean! It is a great feeling at the same time!

Thanks for the encouragement!

I do that a lot. I go through whole days where I'll either nibble, or water fast until I need to have something to get through my night shift at work. Usually it's something small and light. I think of it as a day when your body is catching up on it's decluttering and just doesn't need you to fuel it anymore. It's really normal and I have it all the time. Just enjoy the break. Cleaning is a side effect to these days I swear! I washed my car and did several projects i put off last time!
