I am pretty sure that the kidneys detox medication out, that or the liver, cannot remember. Apple juice is a kidney cleanser, I believe liver cleanser as well. That will help clean out those organs and help them do their job better. (along with raw of course! :) ) I have noticed that when I am not having a regular BM I would get the headaches. Since you have taken meds for quite awhile, I have read that it is good to keep the colon clean and keep it running and keep that stuff moving on out. If not the toxins will re-absorb into the body and make you feel ill. Enemas are good for that. I have taken meds for the past 3 years so I know what you are feeling. Also make sure you are getting adequate water. That will help the toxins clean out. I didn't drink enough water for awhile and it made me feel ill.
Good luck! ;)

everyone approaches raw in a different way, so i'm not sure what you will be comfortable with. this is just a suggestion.
try having some tea with honey and lemon in it. if you don't want to cook the honey and lemon juice, make the tea and then let it cool down before you put the honey in it, until it's finger temp hot (i.e. stick your finger in it and see if it is too hot for your finger). then you can pour it over some ice so that you aren't drinking lukewarm tea. you can put the lemon in it anytime after it's cooled. this should help with your nausea.
i'm not 100% raw, but i have recurring nausea because of celiac disease. tea is my savior. just make sure you put lots of honey and lemon in it. i usually use a nice herbal tea.
hope you feel better.

i don't know of anything going on right now in phoenix. i do know that jocelyn (one of alissa's certified raw teachers) is doing a level one class on may 27th that i'm going to. other than that i don't know of anything right now. you can find all of jocelyn's info on alissa's website if you click on classes and events and then find a teacher in your area.

I believe it's in Casa Grande and it starts at 11 and goes until 5pm on May 27th. She's probably going to offer the Level 2 classes with in a few months after. Check it out. I'm totally excited about it. Can't wait. :D
